Today i spoke at Westlake Gerls
I thought i would be speaking within a class room type audience
but alas no'
it was the entire assembly

In hindsight i sooo wish i had of prepared a speech
short and sharp

but i suppose i did alright

just not brilliant
or fantastically excellent
etcs

We were asked to speak about Auckland Women's Refuge and what it does.
Our overall objective is to Eliminate Violence
and trying to eliminate it in a world that is essentially hostile
is fraught with great challenges and controversies

and / but /
so, the change starts with me
the change starts from the heart
it starts from each and every one of us

and i hoping Westlake Gerls you are fearless in your unity

I wish i had a written script in front of me today
but no,
instead you got a family support worker
who was nervous about the extent of the audience
and got a shock at the numbers to the left of the auditorium

and wanted to be heard

a little stage fright
though
i thought i hid it well
